MINUTES

Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Tuesday 4th May 2010 were agreed and signed.

Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Thursday 3rd June 2010 were agreed and signed.

Meeting open to County and District Councillors for comments

S-on-A District Council

Planning for Yew Tree Farm, informal hearing on 4th August.

Tanworth-in-Arden Parish Council are looking into discussions with an ex planning officer for a possible training exercise and advice. Ullenhall may be included in this should it go ahead.

Warwickshire District and S-on-A District Councils are having discussions over the possible amalgamation of services.

Local Transport Plan, draft available for comment

The Fire Brigade are to finalise their decision on the closures of fire stations in Warwickshire on Tuesday 20th July.

The parking of vehicles around the War Memorial is still causing some concern.

MATTERS ARISING

a. Parish Assembly Meeting, report - an excellent evening with good feedback. Donation to

speaker of £50 as previously agreed.

b. Clement Keys, Audit 2009-2010 agreed and signed.

c. Vacancy for Parish Councillor, Returns Officer at S-on-A District Council has received no

interest. Letters expressing interest have been received from two residents. The clerk to write

to ask for a letter stating why they wish to become a Parish Councillor.

d. ‘Adopt a Kiosk’, letters of suggestions have been received. The contract has been received from

BT. which was duly agreed, signed and returned. The clerk to check our insurance requirements.

e. St. Mark’s Charity, cheque received to the value of £1,862.00, this being the 3/11ths given to

the Parish Council for the benefit of the residents of the village.

OUTSTANDING ISSUES

Several signs are missing or broken. The Crowleys Close sign has been damaged, and although some repair has been made the sign is still broken. The bend warning sign by Green Lanes has been knocked down. The clerk will report these again.

It was agreed to monitor the restoration of verges by current developments.

The white posts on the verge by Elm Tree Farm have caused concern to motorists. There is also effluent overflowing onto the road by the property. Our W.C.C. Cllr. Mike Perry will look into both these issues.

The footpath across the field at the end of Watery Lane is poor - SD243. It has been reported to the Countryside Rights of Way Officer who will visit the site.

COUNCILLORS COMMENTS

Concerns have been raised over the hedge at Walmer Cottage encroaching onto the footpath, causing difficulty for pedestrians. The clerk to write to the resident.
